Is your watch fighting fit? The military-style field watch is back. Nick Foulkes wants a piece of the action.

We are excited to be featured in the Financial Times’ new article “Is your watch fighting fit? The military-style field watch is back. Nick Foulkes wants a piece of the action.”

With a focus on our DTU-2A/P, here’s what the article mentions:

"That said, some of today’s field watches recreate the soldierly styling in forensic detail. When Benrus restarted production of a watch worn by US soldiers in Vietnam, it was important that its appearance remained as close as possible to the original. “Reissuing our military watches isn’t about nostalgia, it’s about stewardship,” says Darius Solomon, senior vice-president of operations at Benrus. “The DTU‑2A/P wasn’t a style exercise but a response to the US Defence Department’s MIL‑W‑3818B specification. Our 2025 reissue stays faithful to those original specs and details because you can’t cherry‑pick heritage, and when you go back to the original 34mm size, hands, dial details, you discover how perfectly balanced the design was.”
